Quinta do Ataíde Launches 'Bloco 63'
Introducing Bloco 63, a limited edition wine from Quinta do Ataíde made using only Touriga Nacional grapes from the 2008 harvest, aged for 15 years in our family's cellars.
The previous name given to the 'Vinha do Arco' plot at Ataíde, Bloco 63 was originally planted in the 1980s and is now one of the oldest single plots of Touriga Nacional in the Douro – renowned for producing complex wines with astonishing ageing potential.
A wine with incredible layers of complexity, Bloco 63 has intricate aromas of dark fruits, intertwined with wet leaves and truffle. On the palate, it has an elegant, velvety texture with a well-defined and lively structure, leading to a long aftertaste with subtle notes of tobacco and cedar.
